As you know, we are a not-for-profit incorporated society and the subscription fee acts to keep us operating during the year. We currently seek funding for most of our operating budget and the subscriptions help us immensely. Thanks to all of you who have loyally subscribed over the years.
As funding gets harder and so CREATIVE JUNK is still here in 10 years, we need to become more sustainable.
We currently have vacant office space available to rent, our general costs are increasing, we need to look at increasing our turnover.
Our bags are currently $5.00 for members and $8.00 for non-members
It’s great to see people coming in with their reusable bags and not plastic.
We have noticed the number of different sized reusable bags.
In future, if you are filling a larger bag you will be asked to pay up to $8.00 for members and $12.00 for non-members. In the centre we have a couple of bag sample.
Hire Equipment and Props – available to Members only
Note: members get discounted prices on our already cheap Art Materials
The centre is run by a hard-working Volunteer Management Team and a number of volunteers from the community who give up their time to keep the centre going in many ways.
This is much appreciated, as without their support and energy we could not continuing to provide our service to the community.
If you would like to give time to the Creative Junk Centre, anywhere from 2 hours per month to 2 hours per day, we are looking for people to
- Help in the centre sorting, tidying, making samples, etc
- Help in workshops
- Help with pickups
- Act as a promotion person(s), to increase community awareness of the centre
- Join the voluntary management committee

We will be celebrating 10 years at 25 Disraeli St, Addington and over the next 6 weeks, thanks to funding for Creative Communities, plan to paint the roller door.
We will be holding our AGM at 11.00 am on 25 August

Across the road is in the empty section in front of Number 26, so go up driveway opposite our building and there are 6 parking spaces (marked with yellow paint) in middle which can be used while visiting CREATIVE JUNK
